dueling images paintings

this assignment went much more smoothley than my previous attempts with gouache. i think its because i went back to using it for more graphical paintings, rather than photorealistic lighting and such.
these two images are supposed to be based off opposing concepts, such as day and night, or happy vs sad and so on. i did some research into ancient irish ruins, and turned this out.
the first image is based off of "dream" bright, flowery and expansive.
the second image is a few hours later, when the sun has almost set, adn the spirits take over the ruins! NIGHTMARE!

These are some loose charicatures I did of a student, four teachers and a guest speaker. I think I started to enjoy doing these when my character design teacher, Enzo told us to make sure they looked as offensicve as possible. Im great at offensive!

I had to bump that previous post with this, since I just replaced my header with afor image. SO! helena boham carter. woth some crows. definitley a work in progress. just a fun pic I made to practice one-layer painting. Eugh- those hands...
I'll replace this with nicer stuff in the future.

nameplate

I made sure to keep this simple, since I know I'll be looking at it for the entire year, gaining skill as I go along. The picture doesnt really have anything to do with anything else- I just think hodgepodge scarecrows are cool. And this one is posessed.

yup
